Giveaway: Hope Suds "Do Laundry. Save Lives."

Today is Orphan Sunday and I have become painfully aware of the worldwide orphan epidemic because of this day. My heart aches thinking about this.

It is late here on the East Coast, but I am fan of "its never too late." Did you know there are over 160 million orphans worldwide? I cannot fathom 160 million children without families, waiting, some with hope, some without. Can you even imagine? I feel moved to do something this day, right now.

Today, I am giving away two bags of Hope Suds laundry detergent, of your choice. Hope Suds is all natural, and HE safe. From their website: "100% of our proceeds assist families in their journey to adopt orphans worldwide. Every load of laundry means Hope and Home to these precious children."

To enter, please leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on orphan care. For an extra entry please like Hope Suds on Facebook and leave a separate comment. For a third entry, tweet this giveaway, and leave a separate comment. Giveaway ends Friday, November 12 at 10pm EST.

I love the Hope Suds family. I can say I knew them before any of their children came along. I am so pleased to support them now in saving lives.

  1. I think orphan care doesn't get nearly enough funding and attention. People like to pretend it doesn't exist - or avoid thinking about it altogether. Like many other problems, however, it doesn't go away if you just keep ignoring it...

  4. There were tears by all yesterday at church when a family came up to speak about adopting a medical needs baby from China...incredible testimony! True religion is this caring for the widows and orphans!

  5. What a wonderful organization.
Orphan care has been heavy on my heart lately. We are supporting it through multiple organizations and educating ourselves to be more aware.

  6. Thank you for this offer. I worked in Mexico at an orphanage and feel the call to adopt when the Lord opens that door.

  8. Oh wow, what a great idea. Like you I cannot fathom the scale of children in need. It breaks my heart. Especially when so many are starving, sick and languishing in horrid orphanages.

  9. I love this! I think (and hope!) more Christ followers are starting to talk about orphan care and wake up to the fact that we are all called to care for them, whether we bring them into our homes or not. I am happy to see your post. You're right--it's never too late in the day! :)

  10. I had never heard of Hope Suds, it is always good to learn about people who make it their work to help others. I agree, the idea of children growing up without loving parents to nurture and protect them is so upsetting. It seems hard sometimes to open ourselves up to people outside our own "nests," but we need to let our hearts be broken open and wide. There is such need.
