Bean Town Bound

Friends, I have HUGE HUGE family news. It is a shock. In some ways it is bittersweet, and in some ways very exciting. We are MOVING AGAIN!

Today the Hubs was officially offered a research fellowship at Harvard University, full time, for one year. My heart is completely, selflessly happy for him. When he applied, he did not think he would be selected. He was wrong. He called me from work to tell me, and I wanted to jump through the phone I was so happy for him. Harvard suggests that he arrive mid-July. We will drive across country, so for now the plan is to leave in June.

So, are you as shocked as we are?!?

    TOTALLY SHOCKED! But only because we didn't see the move coming... we know that Mr. Farmer deserves a fellowship! Congratulations, guys!

    We hope we'll get to see you before you head out to Cambridge. But if we don't, maybe we'll overlap when we head (also driving!) to West Point in another year.

    Okay, I'm shocked as in my jaw is on the ground!!! What???? Wow!!!! That IS exciting!!!!! What an amazing experience!! LOL, your husband must be a smart guy!!! What does he do, by the way, if you don't mind me asking.

    Shocked, hmmm...I know that the F's aren't ones to sit still for too long. Surprised, yes. Shocked, not so much. Pretty sure Kansas is right smack in the middle of SD and Boston, so will be looking for you in the summer. Our doors are always open!!;)

    Where to begin. The chances of US seeing each other just increased! WHY? Becuase guess who lives in NewburyPort MA???? MY Brother In LAW! ALSO the NEWEST LOVE in my LIFE is there...MY NEW GOD SON JUDE! NewburyPort is NEAR the water..IT IS KID FRIENDLY but I think it is a bit far from Harvard...hour or two....maybe not...I will google it. BUT YES the chances have just increased that I will meet YOU in BOSTON!

    COLD...but HECK I WOULD MOVE THERE!!! IN a SPLIT SECOND!!

    I am super excited for YOU GUYS! IT will be a GRET ADVENTURE..because you know you will probably end up back in HI someday...so this will be your Bean Town Adventure...LOL LOL LOL

    I am not surprised at all... I knew you all were destined to spend some more time on the East Coast! Huray! I will say that I did think it would be through a Gov't job opportunity vs a fellowship at Harvard... so that little bit was a surprise.
