Too Many Papayas

We have been refrigerating our papayas because we haven't eaten them fast enough. Our papayas are BIG. My mom kept asking if Son2 could eat them. So I did a little research. Yup, papayas are actually a great first food for babies because they are less acidic than other foods. To think this kid went nuts over our apple bananas...he practically inhaled the papayas the last two days. They are definitely his favorite food so far. Too cool to think his first foods are tropical fruits from his back yard.

  1. Again, nauseating. :) How old is he now? You can feed them whatever you eat at the table, just mushed up. However, I am a more liberal-feeding mama. Miss you!

  2. Ohhh nauseating cause it is papaya in general or because you are nauseated from being pregnant? Son2 is 8m. He didn't start solids until close to 7m. We are super cautious with the foods the first 12m because Hubby's cousin has a SUGAR and PRESERVATIVES allergy that sent him into 100 seizures a day until they found out why the seizures...what terrible things to be allergic to! And Son2 only has .5 a tooth...totally different than Son1! I couldn't keep up with his metabolism and he also had more teeth at this point! I am more liberal with food after 12m too...esp living here.
