Son2's Food For My Thoughts

We met up with Hubby's colleagues on their sailboat Friday night. They also invited our children, the only children in the group. Hubby pulled into Mickey D's a few minutes from their boat club, with a brilliant thought. Full bellies might reduce the Grouch Factor. He convinced me that Son2 could probably pack away a double cheeseburger. I was easily convinced for three reasons. First, it was on the dollar menu. Who cares if he didn't finish? Second, his older brother could pack these away at his age, though he was a much, much larger baby. And finally, Son2, who just crept into the 25% for weight at 12 months, and had always been at 10%, can today out-eat his three year old brother. Sure enough, Son2 finished his double cheeseburger, and demanded french fries. It's wasn't like I hadn't fed him. He had been eating all day! I have said I need to write down all that he eats, because it is an unreal amount of food.

Here is what he ate today:

Breakfast-
dried apple slices
cantaloupe
honey dew
grapes
pancake

Lunch-
cream cheese sandwich
cheerios
slice of colby jack cheese
1/2 avocado

Dinner-
dried apples
3 apriums (more on this later)
1/2 avocado
chicken breast nuggets
yogurt
spaghetti noodles

Mistakenly, I figured I could multitask while he was occupied in his high chair, chowing down. The other day, I heard Son1 call out, "Maaaa-meeeee.....Son2 is standing in his high chair and he's gonna jump out!!!" Before you ask, I don't have the straps threaded in his high chair. I pulled them off once to wash, and the wash ate some of them. Seriously. Besides, I click the tray into place so that the space between him and the tray is non-existent. How in the world did he wriggle out?

My final question....

With his food consumption now, what do I have to look forward to in his growing teen years?!?

About to jump
